While on the mission, Sasuke found himself bored as he continued meeting new women that would be candidates to be his wife. He was surprised at how calm and easy he felt going through everything.
As those boring moments continued, Sasuke was taken back in a series of flashbacks, droning on through his mission while these flashbacks occurred. In the vision, Sasuke had barely gotten back and cautious and suspicious people flocked him constantly, but thanks to Naruto, he was not as judged to be that dangerous, but the eyes of the Anbu still watched him wherever he went. He eventually got tired of them watching him, so when the night traded places with the sun, he snuck out of the village to train and try to strengthen his chidori. While he was training, he couldn’t help but feel a little lonely.
   Okay, maybe really lonely.
In the village, people would always stare at him with detestation. Some stores and restaurants would refuse to serve him, they refused to sell to traitors. It eventually came to the point where Naruto had to do all of Sasuke’s shopping for him.
Sasuke hated to depend on Naruto for such a thing, thinking maybe that he would owe Naruto something, but Sasuke hated the people’s glares even more than that.
Tired of having to deal with everyone’s detestation and tired of being lonely, he gazed up into the sky, hoping to catch a shooting star so that he make his heart’s wish. When that star came, Sasuke wished for someone that he could and love him in return, wishing that perhaps they felt as lonely as he did, that perhaps, they were staring up at the same sky and wishing on the same exact star. Sasuke thought that what he was wishing for was foolish and probably would never come true, but just as he was about to leave, he could have sworn that the star shined just a little brighter.
The next day, after Sasuke had eaten breakfast, he went back to train at the same place, trying even harder to master his skill. He kept trying and trying to make his attack stronger. The effort had placed stress on his entire body. His body was covered in a film of sweat, his breaths were coming out as rapid huffs as his lungs felt constricted and tired, and his limbs had long felt sore.
It was in this moment of sheer exhaustion that he was most determined, when he willed himself to prepare perhaps the strongest electric attack he had dealt the whole day. Usually when his attack struck the training dummy, it would quickly dissipate, but not this time.
Something is different, very different, Sasuke thought.
Once the dancing electricity left his hands, it dashed through the air, striking the dummy with intense speed and strength as it rapidly and crazily slithered around the dummy, making sizzling noises as the electric waves remained instead of disappearing.
For the slightest of seconds, Sasuke thought he saw a hole of sorts appear from within the attack. Determined to see if he was right, he made the same attack again, sure to hit the same spot over and over with bolts of electricity until it built up like a raging fire, crackling and coiling as a shimmering portal opened up. Not thinking of what could happen, but determined to find out what this portal revealed, he quickly went to it and shoved his hands inside the portal, hoping to find something.
But no. He didn’t find something.
   He found someone.
Sasuke only saw her for a few seconds, but that was all that he needed to know that she was the most beautiful girl that he had ever seen. She was beautiful with her wondrous silver eyes and fiery red hair. As he gazed at her, he couldn’t help but notice how lonely she looked. She sat alone by herself, knees hugged to her chest, making him feel like he had to be near her, to end the loneliness he felt that they both deeply shared.
It was a quick second later when the portal roared and roughly repelled him away before it vanished within the speed of light. He groaned as he rolled and picked himself up from the dirt.
It was decided. From that day on, Sasuke practiced even harder. He spent more time training the same attack, hoping to open up that portal once again. He wanted to make sure that he would be able to step through and in order to do that, he needed to get his attack as strong and powerful as it could be.
I will do it again. I will open that portal and then...I’ll save the both of us.

~Kim~

Kim found herself even more bored than usual as she decided to just lay down on the couch in the living room and read the boring books Sasuke had about concentration and skill.
What a sour tart, she thought to herself.
Just when she thought that she would shoot herself in the head from boredom, something makes her snap to attention. It sounded like a thump and Kim waited to hear the noise again.
   Three more hard knocks.
Kim wasn’t sure if she should answer the door, but she was already making her way towards it, so she thought, oh what the hell?
When she opened the door, she saw a girl with blue hair and a soft smile. She stared at her for a bit, unsure of what to say.
The girl clicked her tongue, “Itachi around?”
Kim shook her head and moved out of the way as the girl stepped past the doorstep and came into the home.
As Kim shut the door, the girl made herself at home by plopping down on the couch and kicking her feet up, “So who are you? The new maid?”
Kim scoffed and crossed her arms, “Yeah right. Like I would ever stoop down to be a maid. Especially for anyone like Sasuke. The name’s Kim.”
“What are you doing here then?”
Kim shifted weight on her feet and flipped some of her fiery hair behind her shoulder, “Let’s just say I’m supposed to be keeping Sasuke company.”
The girl sat up a bit, “You don’t seem so happy about that.”
Kim snorted, “I don’t think anyone’s happy when it comes to Sasuke.”
The girl shrugged, “Then why don’t you just leave? The door is right there.”
Kim sighed, “Trust me, I’ve tried! But there’s just something there that keeps me from leaving.”
“Must get awfully lonely then huh?”
“You have no idea.” Kim replied, running a hand through her hair.
All of sudden, surprising Kim, the girl practically attacks her by throwing her arms around her, giving Kim a big hug, “That must suck.”
The girl hold Kim out by pushing her away and holding onto her shoulders, “Tell you what, Kim, how about I stay here and keep you company? Maybe I’ll catch Itachi.”
Kim averted her eyes and twirled a lock of her hair, “Well Itachi does come to visit every once in a while.”
   “Is that a deal?”
Kim nodded and smiled, “Heck yeah! It would be awesome to share this boredom with someone.”
The girl smirked and put her hand on her hip, “Oh don’t worry. We won’t be bored.”

~Sasuke~

Tired of a day’s futile searching, Sasuke rested and sat down next to a pond, gazing about as he pondered things. He turned his head when Naruto called his name, gesturing him to go over to where he was, but Sasuke stayed put, refusing to get up and waste energy to walk over to Naruto. Sensing this, Naruto smirked and jogged over to Sasuke, taking a seat next to him.
“Hey Sasuke,” Naruto began, “where do you go sometimes? You just disappear when no one is looking.”
I have to come up with more lies. Sorry Naruto.
“I just don’t want to look for a wife. I’m perfectly fine being on my own.” Sasuke said.
Naruto sighed and patted him on the back, “Don’t say that, Sasuke! I know you get lonely every once in a while. Besides, you need to restore you clan and whatnot! I’m sure you’ll a pretty wife that’ll cook all sorts of great meals for you. Maybe she makes sweet ramen!”
Sasuke chuckled a little at Naruto’s obsession with ramen. He was almost tempted to just confess to Naruto and tell him all about Kim, but they were interrupted by Shikamaru calling them in for a late dinner.
Later, Sasuke found himself unable to sleep since he done so already during the day. He was consumed by his thoughts and way about to go back to daydreaming if it weren’t for Naruto’s loud and obnoxious snoring.
Sasuke decided to get up out bed and make his way to the roof, moving into the night and staring up at the dark sky as it wrapped its presence around him. He began to recall the day when he finally managed to make it through the portal.
He had made the portal big enough for him to step through and he made no hesitation in jumping through it. When he emerged from it, he noticed that it was night time and that the world he stepped into was vastly different from his own in its own ways. But he was on mission.
Sasuke followed noises and lights and found the window of his beloved’s room. He saw her sleeping soundly within her bed. He took the chance and found a way into her room. He stared down at her as she slept peacefully.
Brushing her fiery hair away from her face, he fondly thought, you are so beautiful.
When he heard noises from the outside, he remembered that he had to get back, that he couldn’t stay for long because he was unsure of how long the portal would remain open. Hastily, he went back through the portal just in time. He knew that the next time he ventured through the portal that she would be coming back with him. Now that he was sure of her coming back with her next time, he had to prepare for her. He had to make sure that everything was in place and that’s exactly what he would do.
Sasuke was yanked out of his flashback as he jolted up from atop the roof, hearing Naruto scream at him. He was so startled that his fist went straight into Naruto’s face, hitting him square in the nose. Naruto groaned, “Hey, what the heck?! I was trying to wake you up and tell you that breakfast is ready!”
I fell asleep on the roof? I must have been pretty out of it.
Naruto rubbed his nose, “Come on, Sasuke. We’re going to the next town after grub, so we better go eat now.”
Sasuke nodded and followed Naruto off the roof and down to eat breakfast. It was quiet during the meal. Once it was done, the rest of the day dragged on in unnecessary repetitiveness. He saw girl after girl and only thought about Kim. He was tired of seeing all the different faces when the only face he wanted to see was Kim’s.
For the next few days, it continued like this. Seeing girls, sneaking off to train, meeting Itachi, and more daydreaming.
He remembered the day he got Kim. Sasuke considered it the best day of his life.
He had gotten everything ready for her arrival. He set up the secret room for her, made sure things were comfortable, and made sure that nobody would find her should anyone come sneaking down where they shouldn’t be.
After that, he used the Electric Chidori portal and emerged in her world once again, this time with a goal that was sure to be met. He saw people running around and saw her crying and trying to stop them, but they were down the stairs and out the door before she could catch up to them. She then fell on her knees and cried into her hands, her tears falling down from her chin.
He watched her for quite some time when she sat on the windowsill, gazing out at the window, seemingly wishing that someone would take her far away from where she was.
Sasuke made his move and found his way into the house. She wasn’t in her room when he got there, so he went searching for her. She bumped into him as he rounded the corner of the hall. Her silver eyes were wide as she gawked at him, too shocked to move. It was only a few seconds later when she bolted away from him, running as fast as she could away from him.
Alright. I like a good chase.
Sasuke was running after her, dodging the lamps, tables, and other objects that she tossed at him and in his path in attempt to slow or stop him. But he smiled at how futile her attempts were as he easily avoided them and jumped over them. As much as he wanted to chase her, he knew that he didn’t have long until the portal shut closed. He was not willing to spend time in a world he knew nothing about. So in effort to make it back in time, he quickly found a way to corner her and using his eyes, he hastily put her to sleep. Before she could collapse on the floor, he picked her up and hauled her over his shoulder as he made his way back to the portal.
   Finally, I’ve got her.
Thrust out of his daydream again, Naruto is yelling at him, telling him in an alarmed tone that the village was being attacked and that they needed to get back as soon as possible. Nodding, he quickly went with Naruto, on his way to provide aid.
   Kim, I hope you’re safe.
